This Thursday, Didier Deschamps reveals his list of players who will face Gibraltar and Greece at the end of November. Among the names that will be scrutinized, that of Warren Zaire-Emery. The PSG player, little football prodigy, could become the youngest player to join the French team.

The Euro in sight. This Thursday, Didier Deschamps will unveil the list of the Blues who will face Gibraltar on November 18, then Greece a few days later. If these meetings will be without major challenges for France, already qualified for the competition, the list of players will be closely scrutinized.

Among the surprises: Warren Zaire-Emery. The PSG player shines in midfield. Fast, scorer and passer at only 17 years old, the captain of the France Espoirs team should be called up by Didier Deschamps. The one who started playing football in the Paris suburbs, in Aubervilliers, was quickly spotted by the trainers.

“He kept the intelligence of the little one who played against the big ones”

“I got him, he was five years old, he was very fresh,” explains Karim Belkebla at the microphone of Europe 1. “It’s not the little RoboCop of today,” he jokes. “But we see this kid bypassing obstacles with incredible intelligence so, as he grew up, he kept the intelligence of the little one who played against the big guys and today that gives us a fabulous player who has a future,” he continues.

Facing Gibraltar, Warren Zaire-Emery, who will then be 17 years, eight months and eleven days old, will become the youngest player in the post-war French team, if he is called up by Didier Deschamps.
