PARIS, Oct 31 (Reuters) – Economic growth in the euro zone slowed in the third quarter, the first estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) released by Eurostat showed on Monday.

The GDP of the 19 countries having adopted the single currency increased by 0.2% compared to the previous three months and by 2.1% over one year in seasonally adjusted data.

These figures are in line with the expectations of economists polled by Reuters.

In the second quarter, growth had reached 0.8% compared to January-March and 4.3% (revised) compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021.
