Euro zone: slight decline in manufacturing PMI in December

(CercleFinance.com) – IHS Markit’s final PMI index for the eurozone manufacturing industry stood at 58 in December, according to the Flash estimate, from 58.4 in November, marking a slight slower growth in the sector.

Thus, ‘growth in the euro zone’s manufacturing sector continued at a disappointing pace in December; inflationary pressures have eased slightly, ‘the report notes.

The slight decrease in supply tensions encouraged a record increase in purchasing stocks.

At the same time, while inflationary pressures have subsided, increases in purchase and selling prices remained among the strongest recorded since the start of the survey.
