(AOF) – Eurofins Scientific announces the signing of an agreement to acquire the operations of SGS Crop Science in 14 countries. The specialist in contract research services in agroscience, specifies that its target company generated a turnover of around 46 million Swiss francs in 2022 (48.47 million euros). The transaction subject to consultation with local stakeholders should be finalized in the coming months. With more than 480 employees worldwide, SGS Crop Science is active in particular in contract research in agronomy.
“This acquisition further strengthens Eurofins’ service offering in agronomy contract research and agricultural testing services, as well as its commitment to providing the best possible level of scientific and regulatory support to its clients,” comments Gilles Martin, CEO of Eurofins.
