When can I play at the latest?
The closing date for the lottery ticket for the drawing of the biggest Euromillions jackpot of all time is on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. The winning numbers will be drawn at 9 p.m. if everything goes according to plan. Tickets from ten lotteries and nine different countries have to be fed into two European data centers. The drawing can only take place when all entries have been submitted correctly.

Which numbers are drawn the most?
According to the state lottery Swisslos, the five most frequently drawn numbers in Euromillions draws on Tuesday (160 draws) are: 44 and 25 (73 times each), 15 (66 times), 20 and 42 (65 times each). In the case of the stars, the 2 (119 times) and 8 (114 times) promise the best chances of winning.

It depends on how it was played. 80 percent of the players hand in their lottery ticket in the traditional way at a point of sale. You have to check the numbers yourself or show the purchase receipt at the point of sale. Swisslos knows the point of sale where the correct numbers were received, but does not know the name of the winner. The 20 percent who play online will be informed personally by email.
How do I get my money?
If you win more than 1,000 francs, the money will not be paid out in cash at the point of sale, instead you will receive a receipt for claiming the winnings. This must now either be sent to the address of the Swisslos headquarters in Basel or handed in there personally. The money will later be transferred to the winner.

How much will the state take from me if I hit the jackpot?
Lottery winners are deducted 35 percent withholding tax in Switzerland. This means that only 65 percent of the profit is paid out initially. Lottery winners get the rest back if they properly declare the winnings as income on their tax return. The amount of taxes that are then due on the total profit varies depending on the canton.
How high can the jackpot get if it is not hit on Tuesday?
The Euromillions jackpot cannot get any bigger. It has an upper limit of 220 million euros (236 million francs). If this upper limit is reached, all further income from the play money flows into the next lower prize class, in which there is at least one winner. So if there are no jackpot wins on Tuesday, it is possible that you could win an amount in the seven-digit range with just five correct main numbers and a star number.
