The life of a retired couple living in the Hérault will soon change. And for good reason, they are the big winners of the Euromillions draw on Friday February 18.
Seven figures allowed them to win the jackpot of 67,441,797 euros: 3, 12, 19, 24, 30 and stars 2 and 5. With this sum, this couple, who wished to remain anonymous, is placed at the first place of the biggest winners of the Euromillions of Hérault, announced the Française des Jeux at Midi Libre. The previous record was €21 million, earned in 2019.
Living in the town of Lunel, where the winning ticket was validated, the couple’s wife said she was “stunned” when she realized how much she had just won.
Although they did not expect to win the Euromillions, the two retirees are regulars on the grids of the Française des Jeux. Twice a month, they play Loto and Euromillions with “remarkable numbers” from the life of the pensioner, which she chooses herself.
Visit European museums
With this colossal sum, which they will soon be able to touch, the couple from Hérault intends, as a priority, to help their children. They also want to have fun and plan to go “to visit museums in Europe” or in other continents.
Apart from these tourist and cultural trips, this jackpot will be used to buy a new car and a new wardrobe, all “without incurring excessive expenses”.
