Europa League: OM sharply eliminated in the semi-finals

Olympique de Marseille lost this Thursday evening on the pitch of Atalanta Bergamo (0-3), for the semi-final return leg of the Europa League. After standing up to the Bergamasques in the first leg (1-1), the Olympians were jostled by the Italians, who were much more diligent and disciplined. Ademola Lookman (30th), Matteo Ruggeri (52nd) and El Bilal Touré (95th) broke through Jean-Louis Gasset’s men. In great difficulty facing the opposing pressure, the Marseillais had very few chances in this match, apart from the missed lob by Iliman Ndiaye (50th) or the crossbar found by Jordan Vérétout (64th). Gian Piero Gasperini’s players will face Bayer Leverkusen, defeaters of AS Roma, in the final of the competition.
