(Boursier.com) — New management and renewed ambitions for the American scope ofEuropcar Mobility Group. As Chief Executive Officer of Europcar Mobility Group USA, Gerardo Bermejo will build on the legacy of Allen Rezapour and Mike Jaberi, as well as the current positive momentum of the Group’s US operations. He will be supported by Fox’s strong and committed management team, which has remained unchanged since the acquisition by Europcar Mobility Group in 2019.

Gerardo Bermejo joined Europcar Mobility Group – the European leader in vehicle rental – in 2017. Since then, he has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Europcar Mobility Group Spain and has also held other positions within the Group, in particular taking the responsibility of its Low-Cost Business Unit. Gerardo Bermejo has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive sector and an excellent knowledge of the vehicle rental industry, acquired in several management positions, notably at Citroën and within the MIASA group. He also has strong international experience, in France, China and the United States.

With the appointment of Gerardo Bermejo, a new chapter opens for Europcar Mobility Group USA. The Group wishes to strengthen its ability to serve its customers on a global scale: by capitalizing on incoming and outgoing traveler flows – flows which are just as important for the development of its activities with corporate customers as with leisure customers – and by taking advantage of the strengths of the Group’s brand portfolio, in particular with the launch of the Europcar brand in the United States in directly owned stations.

On the occasion of the ICRS 2022 (International Car Rental Show), Gerardo Bermejo and Gary Smith, Group Country Director, presented the renewed ambitions and the expansion plan of Europcar Mobility Group on the American perimeter with the Fox-rent-A-Car and Europcar brands.
