Europe 1 Literary Prize – GMF: join the jury!

Solidarity and self-sacrifice inspire those whose vocation is to help others. The unique trajectories of passionate and committed individuals also inspire the authors. Europe 1 and GMF come together again for the fifth edition of the Europe 1 – GMF Literary Prize, to highlight humanity through literature. The jury, made up of personalities from Europe 1, GMF, but also from the world of Letters and the Civil Service, will also welcome two auditors.

Unite around common values

On June 5, the Europe 1 – GMF Literary Prize will crown a new novel celebrating humanity. It will succeed Deux Innocents by Alice Ferney. This book immerses us in the daily life of Claire, a 50-year-old teacher. She invests herself tirelessly to help young people in difficulty, until the day when a rapprochement with a certain student gives rise to a rumor… The fall is abrupt, dizzying. Through this story, Alice Ferney invites us to think about the themes of commitment and sincerity, but also to measure the complexity of social relations.

Nicolas Carreau, literature specialist from Europe 1, will accompany each stage of the Prize, from the presentation of the books to the announcement of the winner. He is the head of the show La voix est livre every Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. It also offers a daily column in the morning: La prescription culture.

Would you like to join the jury?

If you like to read and defend your favorites, you can try to join the jury for the Europe 1 Literary Prize – GMF, as listeners Eugénie and Géraldine did last year. To participate, simply go to the Club Europe 1 website (clube1.europe1.fr) and register. You will perhaps have the chance to participate in debates with members of Europe 1 and GMF to elect, from among five competing books, the big winner. You will then attend the award ceremony during an exceptional evening on June 5 in Boulogne-Billancourt.

At Europe 1, it is Frédéric Taddei, journalist and presenter, Céline Geraud, head of the Society-Culture department at Europe 1 and Catherine Kolb, Director of the Culture Advertising and Partnership Department of Lagardère Publicité News who will debate the winner, accompanied by Nicolas Carreau, Eugénie and Géraldine, the two listeners from Europe 1.

On the GMF side, the jury will be made up of France Renucci, GMF administrator, Director of CLEMI; Hélène Martini, GMF administrator, honorary general inspector and former Director of ENSP; Bruno Seydoux, former Director of Human Resources and member of literary juries; and Jean-Philippe Margueron, GMF administrator, former Major General of the Army. Personalities from the world of Letters and the Civil Service will also participate in the deliberations.

The President of Lagardère News, Constance Benqué, co-chairs this new edition with Thierry Derez, President of GMF and CEO of COVEA.
