Europe and trust objectives for Cleyrop and its DataHub

Launched in 2020, the French startup Cleyrop has already gone through transformations, starting with its business model. Initially thought of as an aggregation of Data solutions on the market, the platform is now developed entirely in-house, in partnership on data visualization with Toucan Toco.

Having again become a more ‘traditional’ software publisher, Cleyrop therefore provides a Data or DataHub platform designed to allow end-to-end processing of the data life cycle. And to continue its developments, the French is raising new funds, 10 million euros.

Industrial and trusted uses of data

The cloud platform – hosted by Outscale – is currently only present in France, and mainly with public players. Its ambition is to grow at European level and also with private companies.

The publisher is also a member of Gaia-X. He also participates in various R&D projects “on a European scale. “Among these EDHISI, funded by France 2030 and piloted by Bpifrance “to build the first sovereign Platform As A Service (PaaS) offer. »

Cleyrop’s first argument is indeed that of sovereignty or the environment of trust for sensitive data. With its DataHub, it strives to connect compliance, industrialization and recovery issues for critical data.

The second advantage highlighted by the company is that of the rationalization of tools and their native integration for end-to-end processing. Cleyrop’s stated objective is thus “to support their clients’ Data strategy in a sustainable and ethical way and to equip them throughout the life cycle of the data. »

Profitability target for 2024

Thanks to these arguments, the Frenchman convinced new investors, namely Keen Venture Partners, a Dutch investment fund, Crédit Agricole, Normandie Participations, a Family Office, as well as Bpifrance.

Cleyrop is aiming for a doubling of its workforce by 2023 (about fifty employees today) and profitability from 2024. The functional evolution of the platform and the opening up to business users are also on its roadmap. To convince companies, the publisher announces its desire to obtain the “highest security certifications”, including SecNumCloud.

“Our product roadmap is ambitious with breakthrough technological innovations linked to the academic and scientific world, such as generative AI at the service of public or private decision-makers or the deployment of Green IT functionalities”, declares Jérôme Valat, co-founder and CEO of Cleyrop .
