The first 30 names on Valérie Hayer’s (Renaissance) list for the European elections were revealed late this Friday evening. No major surprise: outgoing MEPs from the presidential camp occupy most of the eligible places. Macronie relies on continuity.

She was kept waiting. Almost a month before the European elections, the presidential majority reveals the first 30 names on the list led by Valérie Hayer. And no big surprise: most are outgoing MEPs… and eligible. The parliamentarians already sitting in Brussels and Strasbourg emerge as winners and occupy most of the first places. Like the former journalist Bernard Guetta who obtains the number two position that he has coveted for several weeks.

Well-known names from European benches

The Breton Marie-Pierre Vedrenne, outgoing MoDem MEP, and spokesperson for the campaign, is in third place. Then come the current president of the environment committee in the European Parliament Pascal Canfin in number 4 and the one who was head of the list five years ago in 2019, Nathalie Loiseau, in fifth position. Behind her, two other leavers, the former Italian minister turned French MEP Sandro Gozi and the former mayor of Strasbourg, Fabienne Keller.

In eighth place, we find a personality from civil society: Grégory Allione, the director of the National Higher School of Fire Officers. Finally in twentieth position, a choice intended to mobilize young activists: the youth president with Macron, Ambroise Méjean. As a reminder, the list of the presidential majority remains in second position in the polls, but far behind that of the National Rally, with only 17% of voting intentions for June 9.
