European: Matthieu Valet, former police commissioner, officially announces joining the RN list

After a slight suspense, Matthieu Valet, former police commissioner, announces that he is joining Jordan Bardella for the European elections. The information was leaked to the press this Monday, notably in the columns of Parisian, but it was during La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews that the former spokesperson, well known from television sets, formalized his candidacy for the National Rally list. He is therefore placed in fourth position, behind the former boss of Frontex Fabrice Leggeri and the essayist Malika Sorel.

“I am proud to join the great popular movement of Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella, on its list for the European elections of June 9. This list which seems essential to me to put our country back on track, to put France back in order,” declares he said into Sonia Mabrouk’s microphone. He claims to have been approached by the head of the RN list “a few weeks ago” and to have given himself a period of reflection before agreeing to join the party.

“We are not anti-foreigners, we are pro-French”

Economy, farmers, hospitals, police… The former peacekeeper judges France “in a state of absolute emergency”. “We see that all our institutions are collapsing. At the hospital, the caregivers and staff can’t take it anymore. We have patients dying in the emergency room, farmers committing suicide every two days. police officers, gendarmes are also affected by suicide. I believe today that this great popular movement led by Marine Le Pen, in my opinion, will be the only party […] which will change, will straighten out our country,” he explains.

Comfortable in his new political costume, he now defends the speech of the National Rally. Of Spanish origin, he assures that he is not joining an “anti-foreigners” party, but a pro-French party. “Being French is in the heart and in the mind. And this party is evolving, with many deputies who come from the people, who are modest and humble,” he adds. For now, Jordan Bardella’s list is the favorite in the European elections, with 32% of voting intentions.
