The European stock markets, after a very sluggish year 2022, rebounded sharply on Monday, during the first session of 2023 which was held in the absence of many operators due to the closure of the London and New York markets.

The Paris Stock Exchange climbed 1.87% to 6,594.57 points. Frankfurt rose by 1.05% and Milan by 1.90%. These three places had lost around 10% in 2022, their worst year since 2018.
