European stock markets opened higher on Monday and are trying to rebound after a week of losses driven mainly by political uncertainties in France.

In early trading, the Paris Stock Exchange, which saw all its annual gains evaporate at the end of the previous week, gained 0.51% around 9:05 a.m. The Frankfurt Stock Exchange gained 0.50% and that of London 0.19%.
