European stock markets opened higher on Friday, continuing their positive momentum from the day before now that the threat of a default by the United States has been dismissed thanks to the vote of Congress overnight.

The Paris Stock Exchange opened up 0.62% to 7,181.80 points. Frankfurt rose by 0.71%, London by 0.48% and Milan by 0.52% in the first exchanges.
