  • The legendary hard rock band AC/DC will go on tour this summer for the first time in almost eight years.
  • On their “Power Up” tour, the group will also perform in Switzerland – in Zurich’s Letzigrund – on June 29th.
  • AC/DC wants to play nine concerts in Germany and two in Austria. Advance sales begin on February 16th.

The Australians, famous for rock anthems such as “Highway To Hell”, “Back In Black” and “Thunderstruck”, announced on Monday a European tour from May to August 2024, confirming months of speculation.

Rumors about a tour had been going on for a long time. Last week, AC/DC fueled speculation with a countdown on their website.

Legend:

Brian Johnson (left) and Angus Young are also coming to Switzerland with AC/DC for a concert in the summer. They are the last remaining members of the AC/DC line-up that recorded “Back In Black” in 1980, one of the most successful albums in music history. In addition to guitarist Angus Young, who always appears in school uniform, and long-time singer Brian Johnson, the “Power Up” tour will feature rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, who succeeded band founder Malcolm Young, who fell ill in 2014 and died in 2017. New to the band are former “Jane’s Addiction” bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Matt Laug, who performed with AC/DC at the “Power Trip” festival last year.
