After the announcement of the results of the European elections, Jordan Bardella spoke from his campaign HQ. The head of the National Rally list called on the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, to organize new legislative elections.

Jordan Bardella spoke after the announcement of the results of the European elections in which the National Rally came out on top with 33.3% of the vote. In his speech, Jordan Bardella asked Emmanuel Macron to “take note of this new political situation” and “solemnly” asks the president “to organize new legislative elections”.

“The end of a cycle and day one of the post-Macron era that it is up to us to build”

Jordan Bardella thanked the French for their “unfailing” commitment and who “honor us with their support”. According to him, by giving more than 30% of the votes to Marine Le Pen’s party, the French “voted for the recovery of our migration policy, the return of State authority (…), the preservation of their purchasing power, the defense of our jobs, our industries and our farmers in the face of unfair competition.

According to the president of the National Rally, this result is the symbol of an “unprecedented rout of the power in place. The unprecedented gap between the presidential majority and the first opposition party reflects this evening a scathing disavowal and a clear rejection of the policy pursued by Emmanuel Macron and his government”.

For the National Rally, these European elections mark the “end of a cycle and day one of the post-Macron era that it is up to us to build”.
