Europlasma: 5-year agreement with the Algerian NCC Environnement for the treatment of waste – 03/24/2023 at 18:17

(AOF) – Europlasma, a specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, announces that its subsidiary Inertam has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the Algerian company NCC Environnement, which specializes in waste treatment. In the immediate future, NCC Environnement, winner of a call for tenders launched by the Bank of Algeria, will entrust Inertam with the treatment by vitrification of 260 tons of asbestos fibrocement.

After acceptance by the competent authorities, whose procedural time is estimated at one month, transport will be organized to transport the asbestos waste by sea and then by road to the Inertam site located in Morcenx-la-Nouvelle (Landes). This collaboration makes it possible to predict additional orders due to the Algerian State’s desire to use sustainable solutions for the management of its hazardous waste.

German autonomy not so simple

China has been Germany’s leading economic partner for six years. However, across the Rhine, companies are called upon to reduce their heavy dependence on the Asian giant due to a rise in geopolitical tensions with the country. In this context, the powerful VDMA points out the importance of the Chinese market and the danger that a too sudden termination of ties with China would represent. The country is, in fact, the second export market and the first investment destination for German mechanical and industrial engineering. The federation nevertheless recognizes the need to diversify the trading partners of the German economy.
