(Boursier.com) — Inertam, a subsidiary of the Landes company Europlasmahas entered into a 5-year partnership agreement with an Abidjan company specializing in the field of Cleanliness, Hygiene, Safety and the Environment in Côte d’Ivoire.

The birth of this alliance is based on the complementarity of the activities of each of the partners. Indeed, the Abidjan-based company is involved in asbestos removal, packaging and transportation of asbestos-containing waste, while Inertam provides final treatment at very high temperatures for this hazardous waste, at its Morcenx-la-Nouvelle site (France). ).

Nearly 120 tonnes of asbestos waste are already awaiting treatment. Their transport from the African continent to Europe will be governed by the provisions of the Basel Convention on the control of transboundary movements of hazardous waste and their disposal.

Through this agreement Inertam and the partner company intend to enrich their network, their technological know-how and their commercial approach in order to boost their economic performance and create value. This agreement demonstrates, once again, the relevance of the Inertam solution in terms of preserving public and environmental health, chosen by more and more countries instead of the landfill technique.
