(Boursier.com) — As part of the partnership contract signed with DI Environnement, Inertam received the first consent from the French authorities to import 150 tonnes of asbestos waste from the city of Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire.

Most of this waste comes from the large-scale rehabilitation project of the Yopougon University Hospital in Abidjan, representing an overall investment of more than 59 million euros and from the total refurbishment of the Center Artisanal de la Ville d’Abidjan (CAVA).

“The choice to export this highly toxic waste to France from the African continent to be permanently destroyed by a high-temperature process, the only alternative to landfilling, confirms the relevance of the Inertam solution, unique in the world and a true guarantee of the preservation of public health and the environment”, comments the management ofEuroplasma.
