(Boursier.com) — Europlasma a specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, material recovery and decarbonization, announces that its subsidiary Inertam has signed a 5-year cooperation agreement with the Algerian company NCC Environnement, which specializes in the treatment, management and waste recovery.

In the immediate future, NCC Environnement will entrust Inertam with the vitrification treatment of 260 tonnes of asbestos fibrocement. Indeed, NCC Environnement is the winner of a call for tenders launched by the Bank of Algeria. This first operation establishes the privileged partnership between the two entities.

In this regard, Inertam has sent a letter of acceptance of the waste to NCC Environnement so that the request authorizing their export under the Basel Convention can be processed. After acceptance by the competent authorities, whose procedural time is estimated at one month, transport will be organized to transport the asbestos waste by sea and then by road to the Inertam site located in Morcenx-la-Nouvelle in the Landes.

This close collaboration makes it possible to augur additional orders which may be part of the Algerian State’s desire to resort to sustainable solutions for the management of its hazardous waste.
