(AOF) – Europlasma, specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, material recovery and decarbonization, announces that as part of an export support system, the State has just granted Forges de Tarbes an advance reimbursement amounting to €7,143,000 in order to contribute to the financing of planned investments on their production site until 2025. Payments of funds made by Bpifrance Assurance Export will be staggered over 3 years.
As a reminder, in the current geopolitical context, Les Forges de Tarbes, specialized in the manufacture of hollow bodies, have received since the second half of 2022 numerous orders and other marks of interest from various munitions suppliers in Europe.
As such, the Europlasma Group has launched an investment program of 15 million euros (excluding energy assets) to, on the one hand, gradually increase production capacity in order to be able to absorb peaks of up to up to 160,000 parts per year from 2025 and expand the range of products manufactured on the other hand.
This decision, instructed by the Directorate General for Armaments, is therefore a continuation of the three export licenses already granted (press releases of February 14, May 25 and July 31, 2023) which allow the export of products subject to restricted, such as the hollow bodies produced in Tarbes.

Rail investment plan
The French railway industry ranks second in Europe and third worldwide. This industry has a trade surplus, which generates more than 100,000 jobs in France. The announcement of the future plan for French rail transport provides in particular for the regeneration and modernization of the network, the average age of which is 30 years in our territory. This age is much higher than in countries like Germany (17) and Switzerland (15). An annual investment rising from 2.8 billion euros to nearly 4 billion euros should enable the entire network to be maintained in good condition.
