In the first semi-final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, ten artists qualified for the final. These countries are included.

The first semi-final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 has run. 16 countries competed, but in the end only ten artists got hold of one of the coveted tickets for the final on May 22nd in Rotterdam. Norway (Tix – “Fallen Angel”), Israel (Eden Alene – “Set Me Free”), Russia (Manizha – “Russian Woman”), Azerbaijan (Efendi – “Mata Hari”), Malta (Destiny – ” Je Me Casse “), Lithuania (The Roop -” Discoteque “), Cyprus (Elena Tsagrinou -” El Diablo “), Sweden (Tusse -” Voices “), Belgium (Hooverphonic -” The Wrong Place “) and Ukraine ( Go_A – “SHUM”).

Half of the winners were determined by the votes of a jury and the other half by telephone voting. In the hall, 3,500 spectators were allowed on site in the Ahoy Arena. They all had to show a negative corona test. The German ESC hope, singer and musical actor Jendrik Sigwart (26), was also able to briefly introduce his song “I Don’t Feel Hate” and give a little insight into his performance.

Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands as the host country and 2019 winners have already been set. The second semi-final will follow on May 20th. Another 17 countries are fighting for a place in the final, which rises two days later. These two shows also allow 3,500 spectators each.
