“Lord of the Lost” suffered a bitter defeat at the Eurovision Song Contest and finished last. Now the Hamburgers spoke up.

Once again, the ESC appearance for the German contribution was a disaster: “Lord of the Lost” ended up with a measly 18 points and was thus beaten last at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

“Lord of the Lost”: Band takes ESC bankruptcy calmly

The Hamburg dark rock band took their poor performance calmly and reacted to their defeat via Instagram that night. There the group around singer Chris Harms, 43, wrote: “Thank you everyone for this great experience! We loved every second of it!”

Now the group is returning to its old life and looking forward to a “fantastic summer of festivals, many sold-out shows and a second tour with Iron Maiden”. “Lord of the Lost” will be supporting some of the British metal legends’ concerts on the upcoming tour. In the further course of the post, the Hamburgers thanked all the other artists they met on the way to the ESC: “You all deserve all the success and love, may each of your dreams come true!”

Who will Germany send next year?

You leave Liverpool with the knowledge that you could not have put more effort, time and love into the ESC participation. “And now the big question remains: who will Germany send next year to break the curse?” the band finally asks itself.
