FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Euro zone business loan growth accelerated in January, for the fifth consecutive month, to +4.4% year on year after +4.2% in December, according to data. data released Friday by the European Central Bank (ECB).
The annual growth rate of M3 money supply, which mainly reflects the ECB’s bond purchases, meanwhile stood at +6.4% last month, a figure below the Reuters consensus of +6, 7%.
For its part, the growth of loans to households in January stood at +4.3% compared to the same period of 2021, after +4.1% in December.
