Eva Longoria has good news for Desperate Housewives fans

Do you miss Bree, Lynette, Susan and Gaby? U.S. too. But good news: a special event is being prepared for the 20th anniversary of the acclaimed and beloved series!

She played dear Gabrielle Solis, or Gaby for short, during the eight seasons of Desperate Housewives: Eva Longoria, present at the Cannes Film Festival, created a surprise on the red carpet by announcing, on Canal+, a special meeting for the 20th anniversary of the series this year!

Desperate Housewives actually debuted on ABC in 2004 before bowing out in 2012 after 180 episodes that were dramatic, funny and moving. Marc Cherry’s series made us laugh and cry alongside its beautiful and desperate heroines, played by the unforgettable Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria – without forgetting their equally iconic husbands or companions. And we must admit, we have missed the residents of Wisteria Lane terribly ever since – and Eva Longoria Also !

I miss playing Gaby. I miss Wisteria Lane. It’s one of my best experiences. And this year, we’re celebrating 20 years of Desperate Housewives. So we’ll have a special reunion”, she revealed before adding: “It won’t be a spin-off !”

ABC

A Friends-style reunion perhaps, a sort of discussion to remember the best moments of the series with revelations and little filming secrets to boot? And why not in Wisteria Lane, a (false) emblematic street of the Universal Studio in Los Angeles that many fans visit every year? Either way, we imagine the shock quartet reunited, with their on-screen husbands and other emblematic characters who appeared in the series. Whatever form this meeting takes, we can’t wait.

Hear Eva Longoria talk about it herself in the video below:

A Mexican version of one of our best French series?

And yes, as Radio France announced in its KC Mouv’ show, Eva Longoria also plans to adapt one of our French series, one of the best, for Mexico: we called Dix Pour Cent!

Indeed, the series by Dominique Besnehard and Fanny Herrero, which notably starred Camille Cottin, alongside a whole host of renowned actors playing their own roles, will benefit from a new adaptation – after nearly a dozen international versions, including a Quebec version called Les Invisibles or an English version called Ten Percent.

As a reminder, Ten percent revealed behind the scenes of the lives of the stars, especially those, to say the least eventful, of those who represent them on a daily basis. In the series, we followed four acting agents with colorful personalities and complicated personal lives who fought on a daily basis to find the best roles for their prestigious clients…

While waiting to find out more, Desperate Housewives can be rewatched in its entirety on Disney+. To watch Ten Percent again, head to Netflix.
