The space MMO will soon join the catalogs of SVOD platforms in the form of an ambitious television series.
Since the end of The Expansepending further For All Mankind and the endlessly postponed reboot of Battlestar Galacticalovers of science fiction and space combat could soon have a new series to put in their mouths.

The space MMO Eve Online was this weekend the object of all the attention on the occasion of its annual convention (cancelled twice due to COVID), the FanFest. The Icelandic studio behind the title was thus able to unveil the main new features to come in the game, in particular the continuation of the redesign of the experience for new players, but also the return of the faction war.
And if CCP has remained relatively discreet about the projects attached to the universe ofEve Online, the studio has not forgotten them either. Alongside a tactical FPS by CCP London and a mobile 4X in development by CCP Shanghai, fans will soon be able to discover their favorite universe on the small screen. In fact, the series Eve is still in development.
Announced for the first time in 2016, this project is not dead, as confirmed by Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of CCP, in a joint interview with our colleagues from IGN France. Without going into much detail on the subject, he explained that the series was still in development, despite the silence surrounding its production. It must be said that there is reason to be optimistic since the future television show – and intended for SVOD platforms – is produced by Ridley Scott’s company. The dad ofAlien and of Prometheus finds itself at the helm through Scott Free Productions.
Upcoming crossovers
On the side ofEve Online – the game – players should be entitled to new crossovers with universes from pop-culture. The success of the one made with Doctor Who in 2021 motivated CCP to continue the experiment.
If we do not yet know the next universe that will be explored within the MMO of CCP, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson says he is confident about the future and the possible gateways.
