Eveline Hall: She joins this ranks of the oldest supermodels

Eveline Hall is celebrating her 75th birthday. The German model is a sought-after face for catwalk and campaign jobs – just like these women.

She is one of Germany's oldest still active models: Eveline Hall will celebrate her 75th birthday on October 25th. As the daughter of an actor and a dancer, she was born with a passion for creativity and development. She was a ballet dancer at the Hamburg State Opera, a showgirl in Las Vegas and now earns her living as an actress and singer. However, modeling comes first.

Hall's modeling career began late, at the age of 60. This did not affect the success – on the contrary. Ever since her appearance on the catwalk for fashion designer Michael Michalsky (53) in 2011, she has been a popular motif for star photographers such as Ellen von Unwerth (66) or Patrick Demarchelier (77). Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019) also had Hall in front of his lens. The 75-year-old is in good company in the fashion business.

Maye Musk – born 1948

Maye Musk (72), the mother of Elon Musk (29), started her modeling career in South Africa at the age of 15. Among other things, she was in the finals of the Miss South Africa beauty pageant in 1969. However, she did not rest on her good looks. Maye Musk has two master’s degrees in nutritional sciences – as well as numerous advertisements, catwalk jobs and magazine covers. For example, she graced the front page of "New York" magazine without clothes, and in 2013 she was also featured in Beyoncé's (39) music clip for "Haunted". Shortly before his 60th birthday, the model decided to keep his hair short and in the natural hair color white. The success speaks for itself.

Carmen Dell'Orefice – born 1931

The American woman owes the fact that Carmen Dell'Orefice (89) is one of the most sought-after best-ager models to a lucky coincidence – and years of hard work. She was discovered on the bus at the age of 13 and landed her first modeling job. Only two years later she signed a contract with the fashion magazine "Vogue" and the cornerstone of her glorious career was laid. Over the years she has stood in front of the camera for "Vogue" and "Harper's Bazaar" and modeled for Rolex and Philipp Plein. Give up the job? That doesn't occur to Dell'Orefice. "If I die, I'll wear my high heels on," she once said.

Daphne Selfe – born 1928

Daphne Selfe is 92 years old, British and the woman who was named the oldest professional fashion model by the Guinness Book of Records in 2014. She still bears this title today. Her career began in 1949 at the age of 21. Out of the blue, as Selfe writes on her website, she was selected for a magazine cover at the time. Since then she has photographed countless international campaigns and walked the world's catwalks. Selfe is now passing on her knowledge of the world of fashion and modeling to interested young models in online courses.
