Evelyn Burdecki takes a seat on the couch at GALA on TV and answers questions from moderator Annika Lau. When it comes to her deceased father, the 33-year-old becomes emotional – and speaks openly about her grief.

Evelyn Burdecki, 33, is known for her open and easy-going, funny nature. But on the GALA couch, the popular TV face strikes more serious tones and reveals to moderator Annika Lau, 43, that she is increasingly concerned about having children.

Evelyn Burdecki on the desire to have children: “The older you get, the more difficult it becomes”

Because the former jungle queen is still looking for great love. In the “Bachelor in Paradise” format, she met Domenico de Cicco, 39, but the couple separated several months later. Since then, Evelyn has been enjoying her single life. When asked if she felt a certain pressure when it came to having children as a 33-year-old single woman, she admitted: “Yes, I have to say it puts pressure on you. 3 years ago it looked very different, but you know that : The older you get, the harder it gets.”

She goes on to explain: “It’s more difficult to have a child and that’s why you’re already thinking in quiet moments in the evening: ‘How am I going to do it without a man by my side?’ That’s why you try to think a little bit for the future, how you might be able to have a child after all if you’re no longer fertile.”

Her father’s death is still ‘unreal’

Another reason for her desire to have children is her father. “When my father was alive, he said all the time: ‘Evelyn, I want a grandchild so much.'” She would have liked to give him one, but he died suddenly at the end of last year. “That actually happened in December. […] I have to cry right away,” admits Evelyn Burdecki in tears in an interview with Annika Lau. She and her father were “very, very close”.

But life must go on, Burdecki knows, and gives an honest insight into her inner life in front of the cameras. “People leave you. That’s life. Everyone has to leave the earth at some point. But the memories remain. My father was such a strong person. I take after my father completely. He was determined, he was happy, he was happy, he was always there for the family and that’s how he wants to see me,” she says.

Nevertheless, there are still moments when she has to cry at home. “Last night. If you look at photos. It’s all still very unreal for me because it all happened very quickly and it’s just my dad. You couldn’t say goodbye. It was really bad,” said the emotional one Words of the 33-year-old.

“He’s not here on earth, but he’s still there. You can feel him.”

Dealing with grief is an important process. At GALA, Evelyn Burdecki reveals how she is dealing with the loss of her father: “Crying a lot, that’s very important. You have to let it all out. You shouldn’t be ashamed of your feelings. Of course, visit the grave quite often. That’s all for me important that at least 3 times a week, no matter where I am in the world, I visit the grave, bring flowers, talk to him, yes he is still there, he is not here on earth but he is still there . You can feel him.”
