However, users will have to come forward in the coming weeks to keep their free account.
Google is changing its plans and will no longer impose a transition to Google Workspace, its new redesigned and paid offer of office tools for companies which also includes online storage.
You have until the end of July to refuse the switch to Google Workspace
While business users will have no choice and will automatically switch to this new online solution by this summer, users using the free version of G Suite for personal, non-commercial use may opt out of the switch to Google Workspace. They can thus continue to use the old workspace but also keep their domain name linked to Gmail.
To do this, simply access the Google Admin Console and deactivate the option allowing the transition to Google Workspace. Users have until 1er August to carry out the operation, then their account will be automatically switched to the new paid offer from Google.
Those who have already switched to the new Google offer can also go back and start on a free offer. This will require contacting Google Workspace support, as no online option is available.
