Everspace hires Mass Effect screenwriter for Rockfish Games’ 10th anniversary

Shooting game roguelike in the space, Everspace will have been a very good surprise in 2016, but Rockfish Games made a 180° turn with its sequel, which is a Action RPG much more scripted. A recipe that also works, the title is a success with more than 400,000 salesbringing the total to two million copies sold for the franchise.

Founded in 2014, Rockfish Games is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, which is no small thing for an independent studio and it has decided to celebrate with its community by making several announcements. Everspace 2 will receive the update in spring 2024 Incursionswhich will be free and which will add weapons, equipment, functionalities and which will above all migrate the game underUnreal Engine 5. Colossal changes, but the developers also promise a big paid expansion in the future.

But that’s not all, because Rockfish Games announces that franchise Everspace will now be scripted by Chris L’Etoile, narrative designer of the first two Mass EffectThe Outer Worlds and Aliens: Fireteam Elite, his name is almost an aptonym as he seems passionate about science fiction. The studio also recruited Bleick Bleicken, artistic director with a 20-year career who notably worked on Chorus, Forza Horizon, ANNO 1701, Sacred 2 or Technomage.

This promises very good things for the future of Rockfish Games and his frankness. If you haven’t already done so, you can find Everspace 2 from €29.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount, there Fnac And GOG.com.
