"Everyone in the kitchen": why Cyril Lignac caused a huge laugh: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Like every evening since the start of the confinement linked to the coronavirus crisis, Cyril Lignac offers French people to change their ideas with his new flagship program, All in the kitchen (M6), helping them do what they do best: cooking. From his home (an apartment in the center of Paris), the chef concocts step by step good little dishes live, and with all the explanations necessary to reproduce the recipe. With them, in their screen, the host Jérôme Anthony, who tries to follow his advice from the chef his kitchen in Nancy, as a clerk. Several French families also share this moment in duplex to prepare good meals live, trying to follow the instructions of the professional. Finally, guests intervene regularly. Camille Cerf, Kev Adams, Max Boublil, Ary Abittan, Elodie Gossuin, Fauve Hautot, Cristina Cordula, Stéphane Rotenberg or even Franck Dubosc have been there. Wednesday June 3, 2020, the guests were none other than the hosts Cartman and Vincent Desagnat.

"We were not in England, we were in La Grande Vadrouille"

That evening, the chef offered viewers to cook a Caesar salad in his own way, accompanied by a dessert, the Strawberry Meringue Eton Mess. So far, so good. But from the start of the show, Cyril Lignac understood that he was dealing with hellish troubles. Already, by announcing the dish and the dessert of the day (of British inspiration), the chef made everyone laugh with his own English accent. “Are you planning to speak English tonight? We weren't in England there, we were in La Grande Vadrouille ”, says Jérôme Anthony, making fun of him. When announcing the ingredients for the Caesar salad, the famous cook once again made the assembly laugh with the word "Worcestershire Sauce ”. Hilare, Jérôme Anthony says: "I saw that in the list, I went to the store (…) nobody understood, so I don't have the sauce." As Cyril Lignac tries to teach Jérôme Anthony how to pronounce the word “Worcestershire”, he stutters again, causing general laughter. Cartman, Vincent Desagnat and Jérôme Anthony took a long time to recover! “It's an inimitable sauce from England that you put in the tartares”, explains Cyril Lignac. "It's super good, you'll see. You see, there is atmosphere tonight! And above all, you don't make fun of me on my so British accent ”, he implores with humor. One thing is certain: Cyril Lignac is better at cooking than in English!
