The 2023 Critics Choice Awards nominations are in. “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is the clear favorite.

Shortly after the Golden Globes are on Wednesday Nominations for the upcoming Critics Choice Awards been published. At the 28th edition of the award ceremony on January 15, 2023, the makers and actors of “Everything Everywhere All at Once” in particular can hope for the coveted trophy: With a total of 14 nominations, the science fiction adventure film clearly leads the list .

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” has been nominated in the categories “Best Film”, “Best Comedy” and “Best Director”, among others. In addition, Michelle Yeoh (60) received a nomination for “Best Actress”, Ke Huy Quan (51), Stephanie Hsu (32) and Jamie Lee Curtis (64) could be nominated for “Best Supporting Actor”. The film is a highly regarded Oscar nominee and has also been nominated for a Golden Globe six times.

Six nominations each for “Avatar 2” and “Top Gun”

Steven Spielberg (75) can also hope for an award: his drama “The Fabelmans” has eleven nominations, two of which go to Spielberg for “Best Director” and “Best Original Screenplay”. The Hollywood portrait “Babylon – Rush of Ecstasy” and the tragic comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” have received nine awards. The biopic “Elvis” is also quite high on the list with seven nominations.

Meanwhile, the blockbusters “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” have been nominated six times.
