The American giant Microsoft and the cloud and cybersecurity subsidiary of Atos, Eviden, announced on Thursday a five-year global partnership, aimed at powering new industrial solutions based on generative AI.
Eviden, the digital branch of the Atos group which will soon celebrate its first anniversary, has just concluded a long-term agreement with Microsoft to accelerate the technological transformation of companies. The deal could generate 2.8 billion dollars (or 2.6 billion euros) for Eviden’s cloud services activity by 2028. Intensive training of 50,000 employees of the French company, development of solutions based on generative AI and global innovation centers… this is an alliance that could help many sectors, but also Atos.
Co-development of innovative Eviden/Microsoft solutions for ambitious financial objectives
Although in difficulty and with a slightly unstable organizational chart, Atos is banking heavily on Eviden. The partnership that the company has established with Microsoft undoubtedly marks a major step in their common mission to support digital transformation. All of this will be done by combining Microsoft’s cloud expertise with Eviden’s customer-centric approach.
The two companies have committed to bringing in an additional $2.8 billion in Eviden’s cloud services over the next five years. To achieve this ambitious goal, they will develop accelerators and priority offerings in key sectors such as automotive, energy, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and the public sector.
Eviden and Microsoft will collaborate closely to develop industrial solutions based on Microsoft Cloud and powered by generative artificial intelligence. They will then be deployed in four priority sectors and then accelerated by innovation centers which will be launched all over the world, thanks to Microsoft Azure, which will ensure their creation and development.
Strengthening skills and certifications, the good news for Eviden and Atos
How will this happen more concretely from a structural point of view? The two companies have planned to invest jointly in co-innovation and to create, as we explained, priority offers, all thanks to the thirty Atos talent centers around the world (Mexico, Egypt , Morocco, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, India etc.).
Eviden will strengthen these famous “Global Delivery Centers” (their original name) and its center of excellence, thanks to the training of its 50,000 employees. Microsoft is also expected to award no less than 16,000 new certifications over the next five years. The investment should, in theory, ensure that Eviden’s teams have the skills necessary to implement and support the solutions developed within the framework of this partnership.
At the same time, Microsoft and Eviden will continue to offer innovative solutions in different strategic areas, such as AI, as you will have understood, but also cybersecurity, cloud services, data, innovation, business applications and even technology. application infrastructure. Enough to guarantee a continued commitment to technological innovation.
