Evil Empire dates The Rogue Prince of Persia to May 27 – Gamosaurus

A few days ago, Evil Empire announced that its next title would see its release postponed. The reason being none other thanHades 2, a very imposing competitor released without much prior announcement. Eventually, The Rogue Prince of Persia will be released in early access from May 27 instead of May 14. Two additional weeks which will therefore allow the Day 1 patch to be finalized. But above all, give players time to advance in the Supergiant Games game.

Obviously, the studio takes all this in a humorous tone. While it is quite embarrassing to have to postpone the release of the game until the last moment, it gives them a little more time to refine the final details. They also take the opportunity to unveil a new trailer which this time focuses on the gameplay. And as one could imagine, the shadow of Dead Cells is not far behind.

The prince takes advantage of his agility to do parkour in the city and reach heights. The exploration and parkour phase is littered with deadly traps and settings, and is accompanied by occasional enemies. In combat, you can use the scenery to your advantage to throw enemies into it and kill them. Dodging to avoid damage from a hit is still present, as is equipment giving access to new skills.

All of this will be available from May 27 in Early Access
The Rogue Prince of Persia. This will only be available on PC however. We will have to wait a while longer, or even until the 1.0 release, for it to land on home consoles. And Evil Empire reassures players, they will not have to pay €60 to take advantage of it, but €19.99.
