EWE is down: Massive telephone problems occur primarily in one region

The utility company EWE acts, among other things, as a telecommunications and information technology company and provides internet, telephone and mobile communications. However, users of EWE’s offer must expect problems on Monday morning.

As reported to us via our fault reporter for EWE, several hundred customers are currently no longer able to make calls properly. There are also said to be difficulties with the internet connection. We receive reports primarily from the state of Lower Saxony, in whose city of Oldenburg EWE is also based.

The reason for the disruption could be flooding

The provider has not yet stated what is causing the disruption on its own website or via social media. However, it is quite possible that the network failures have something to do with the current flood situation in the affected area. Those affected can currently only wait until the problems are resolved.
