(Boursier.com) — Exail and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) have signed a major contract for the supply of a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) intended to train the crews of E-3F Awacs aircraft (Airborne Warning and Control System) of the Air Force and Space, dedicated to the protection of airspace.

This Full Flight Simulator (FFS), an identical replica of the future cockpit of the renovated E-3F Awacs, will allow the crews of the Air Force and Space to have, on French soil, a modern flight simulator, perfectly suited to their training needs and constraints.

The acquisition of this Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for the benefit of the Air and Space Force is part of the contract, notified by the General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) to Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), relating to the renovation of the cockpit of the strategic aircraft E-3F Awacs.

Qualification of the simulator by the DGA is scheduled for the end of 2025 in conjunction with the cockpit renovation project.
