excellent news for the PS5 exclusive

Four months after the last Death Stranding 2 trailer, Hideo Kojima takes stock of his next PlayStation 5 exclusive. Things are progressing well, very well in fact.

The latest trailer for Death Stranding 2 impressed with its visuals and its many artistically inspired sequences. But it has also, and this is normal, left millions of players in the lurch who are currently trying to put the first pieces of the puzzle together. Players will have time to analyze the videos from every angle since the release will not take place until 2025 on PS5. A fall launch like its predecessor? Your predictions! In any case, there should be no delay on the horizon…

Where is the development of Death Stranding 2 On the Beach?

Death Stranding 2 On the Beach is the official name of the Death Stranding sequel. Norman Reedus (Sam Porter Bridges), Léa Seydoux (Fragile) and Troy Baker (Higgs) are back for a spin, while Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and George Miller (Mad Max Furiosa) join the cast with the support of director Fatih Akin. The stop-motion animated puppet seen in the State of Play trailer and who will be Sam Porter Bridges’ new traveling companion. We expect to see it again in the coming months, but until then, Hideo Kojima has provided details on the progress of development via Famitsu. Death Stranding 2 is on schedule and should be released in “impeccable” condition.

According to the Japanese developer, the recording of dialogues and performance capture sequences has been completed for Death Stranding 2. The game is now in its “adjustment” phase which will last approximately 1 year. A stage where teams make sure everything is working well, including gameplay ideas and others. This apparently innocuous declaration is very reassuring for the release of the software. Unless real problems are detected, the 2025 launch on PS5 will be maintained. After the arrival of DS2, Kojima Productions will be able to begin production of the infiltration game Physint and continue the horror game OD.
