Varta pays dividend for the first time

For the first time, Varta allows its shareholders to participate in the business results. For the past year, the company is distributing a total of around 100 million euros. The battery manufacturer expects further growth this year.

The battery manufacturer Varta wants to pay a dividend for the past year and thus make the shareholders happy for the first time. A total of 100 million euros will be distributed to the shareholders. The majority of this is due to a special dividend, as the 2020 financial year went extremely well, the company announced.

For the current year 2021, the company is forecasting further sales growth to around 940 million euros. For last year, Varta had recently forecast sales in the range of 840 million to 860 million euros. The adjusted operating margin (Ebitda) is expected to increase disproportionately by up to 2.5 percentage points to up to 30 percent.
