Excluded. Amel Bent explains why she doesn’t want her daughters to watch The Voice

Amel Bent is pregnant with her third child and will soon be at the head of a large family. The singer already has two daughters with her husband Patrick Antonelli, Sofia and Hana. Yes The Voice is a family program par excellence, Amel Bent does not want her daughters to watch the show in which she officiates alongside Florent Pagny, Marc Lavoine and Vianney, for several reasons. “My daughters are still very small, they are 4 and 6 years old and the show is late. So at 9 p.m., they are technical knockouts in general. The big one, she sometimes pulls a little, and just watches the beginning with me. We just have a small TV in the kitchen, which is really only used, in general, to watch the news. But it’s an educational choice, I’m not pro-screens.”

But the accomplice of Vianney also wishes to preserve as much as possible her daughters from the environment in which she evolves daily, so that their childhood remains as normal as possible.

“They know what I’m doing, they sayin’Mom she sings‘ but it’s a job like any other for them. If they have too much of the image of me on TV, the glitter, the spotlight, and they imagine that’s the reality of my work, it’s not super fair. Because it doesn’t really reflect my work, it’s a plus. They’ve seen me briefly, a few minutes, but never watched a whole show.”

And in the same way, Amel Bent has never brought his daughters on a set of The Voice. For the singer, without keeping them away from this universe, she wants these moments in the spotlight to have meaning for her daughters.

“I prefer to take them to places that are more representative of my profession. The big one, I’ve already taken her to the studio, for example, so that she knows how a song is built. And I took her to Les Enfoirés also for two days with me. By explaining to him clearly what the money collected for the association was used for thanks to the concert. I think this message is more important to them. ”
