Currently in Plus belle la vie, Baptiste is training to become a firefighter. Bryan Trésor, his interpreter, returns for Télé Star on the collaboration of the soap opera with the real fire soldiers of department 13.
Télé Star: How did the collaboration of More beautiful life with the real firefighters of Bouches-du-Rhône?
Bryan Treasure : Very good. The speakers did not come backwards, it was a chance. They all more or less made the referent. The extra firefighters reframed us if there were any inaccuracies in our gestures. We shared a lot of really good times. Our privileged interlocutor was Captain Pierre-Claude Pastor and having a guy like that on all the important intrigues should be mandatory! He’s a real guy! They are useful guys because we can quickly miss a habit that the character should have whereas we actors, no.
During the exercises as part of his training, Baptiste is stoned, helps elderly people, finds himself facing death… Did you realize what firefighters go through on a daily basis before this arch?
I was not at all familiar with this universe before playing this plot. However, I was aware of the difficulties of the profession because I see what is happening in the world. I find it unfortunate that rocks or stuff like that happen… But there are always jerks on either side of a situation. In any case, the image of hero firefighters that we have, I have it. In the same way as the nurses, like my mother, who like many people fight every day to make things go as well as possible for others.
What did you think of Christophe Hérault who plays Jean-Louis, Baptiste’s demanding trainer ?
It was a really nice meeting. Thanks to him and with him, we did a great job I think. With someone else, it wouldn’t have been the same adventure.
Was this shoot more challenging than the others?
It required a lot of concentration at times in order to stay precise despite the equipment and the sometimes a little complicated conditions. We had to listen to the indications while trying to capture the stakes of the scene, without forgetting to make sure that the sound works because it’s a hassle with the headphones… We all had big days but it finally worked and everything went well for everyone.
