Interviewed by your magazine Télé Star, Julien Courbet returned to the end of his show, Call for witnesses, which he described as very frustrating. But don’t worry: the host is about to return to the air with a new project entitled “Arnaques!?”.
Julien Courbet has been one of the most popular hosts on French television for many years. I have to say that the 57-year-old from Bordeaux has been at the head of some of the most famous shows, such as The weak link, Take it or leave it, Don’t touch my post (as a joker), The seven deadly sins or Capital. In recent months, he was the co-presenter of Call for witnesses in the company of Nathalie Renoux. But given the lack of audiences achieved, M6 decided to put an end to it.
For the occasion, Julien Courbet has agreed to give an exclusive interview to your magazine Télé Star. And his conclusion on Call for witnesses is without appeal: “It will stop. The bias was to do it with the police and the gendarmerie. Viewers were asked to call to advance an investigation. We saw the calls coming in but no one on set had the right to say what the content was. So there was frustration!”. But don’t worry: M6 has proposed a new concept to Julien Courbet.
Julien Courbet: “With Call for witnesses, there was frustration”
And he accepted it with great pleasure. The show in question will be called “Arnaques!?” and will premiere on Saturday, May 28. And as its name suggests, this magazine will be articulated around the scams that the French can suffer. And especially on the themes of money, the house and the car. “These are the most common scams. The advantage with It can happen to you is that it serves as a laboratory for me to see what is going on. For example, there are more and more problems with bank accounts. This is what we show. This show is a bit like the Capital of the scam“. The first episode will be broadcast this Saturday evening, May 29.
