On the occasion of World Day of Families, Diana Blois, candidate for the show, Large Families: Life in XXL, confides in the birth of her blended family.
For almost two years now, families like no other have shown their rock and roll daily life on the hit show Families Large: Life in XXL. If they are no longer present on the air now, Les Blois have seduced viewers thanks to their simple way of life and their unfailing complicity. Discovered in season 2 of the show, Diana and Gérôme are at the head of a blended family of 9 children. Already a mother of 7 children from a previous union, Diana had been raising them alone for 4 years, when she met Gérôme, father of a little Louane. Together the couple chose to expand the family with the arrival of little Juliette, now 4 years old. A very fusional family that lets itself be guided by its heart and its instincts.
On the occasion of the International Day of Families, which takes place this Sunday, May 15, Diana Blois confided in the meeting that turned her life upside down.
“He wanted a childless woman”

Three years after her separation from her ex-husband and father of her first 7 children, Diana has decided to take her destiny into her own hands, determined to find love again.
“I think that I was never made to live alone. I was fine with my children but I’m someone who needs love, sharing and I couldn’t see myself being alone with my children all my life. But I was a stay-at-home mom at that time., I took care of all my children full time because I had sole custody. So I didn’t really see how I could meet someone if I didn’t take steps. So I joined a dating site..”she confided.
And after several weeks and a few unsuccessful attempts, Diana found the man of her life.
“When I met Gérôme I immediately knew it was him. It was love at first sight for him, for who he is. I immediately felt that opposite I had someone like me, who looked like me and who had a lot of humor. But in his ad, he was looking for one who had no children. I had 7! So, I didn’t want to simmer it, we had to go straight to the point so I told him in the first minutes of our written conversation”, she announced, amused by her memories.
An announcement, indeed, surprising for Gérôme who initially thought thatit was a joke but who quickly accepted and understood the situation. “We met in real life after only a few days of discussion, it went very quickly. But I knew from the conversation and the feeling that it was him. It was obvious”continued Diana.
The couple moved in together in “just two weeks”
After this magical encounter, Diana and the one she nicknamed “Chouchou” never left each other. After a few dates, things quickly accelerated for the two lovers and their tribes, quickly forming one big family. “Everything happened very quickly between us. Only two weeks after getting married, Gérôme came to move in with me. We didn’t want to wait, we kind of thought the same thing. We can be a couple that works really well when we see each other, around a restaurant or a drink. But, it wasn’t real life, real life is where we are todaywith our children since they were also the ones who were going to tell us if it worked or not.”she revealed.
And luckily for Diana and Gérôme everything went even better than they expected.
“Everything happened very naturallywe never had a discussion about how we should do it, if we should do it step by step or something else. We just followed our instincts and things happened gradually”she explained.
A ninth child for the Blois family
A few years later, Gérôme and Diana wanted to unite their pretty recomposed tribe even more and welcomed little Juliette. But for the couple, this birth was far from unexpected from the first day they knew that this day would arrive. “We started talking about Juliette the first night we had a drink together. We weren’t even dating.”she insisted. “He was the one who told me about a baby, he really wanted to unite this couple with a child. And when he told me that I thought to myself ‘but wow, ok it’s really him’I’m a kindergartener at heart and I felt like he was reading my mind.”
After a few months of waiting, Juliette came into the world, strengthening the bonds between the members of the clan.“We really have a family in which there is a very good atmosphere, a very good understanding and the arrival of Juliette was the icing on the cake. She really came to consolidate the family and it is a real happiness”, concluded the happy mother.
