EXCLUDED “I might be tough…”: THE physical detail that Flo (Married at First Sight 2024) doesn’t want to hear about

Flo is one of the candidates of Married at first sight 2024 (M6). The 33-year-old from Bordeaux embarked on this wonderful experience with the hope of finding the love of his life. Before discovering the start of his adventure, the handsome brunette confided in Purepeople.

Can you tell us about your romantic past?

Like any self-respecting thirty-year-old, I had commitments, projects with people, desires. But maybe it wasn’t the right times or the right jobs. Before, I was in the restaurant business [il est courtier en prêt bancaire, NDLR] so it was complicated. And I am a lover of love, so sometimes when we are with someone, we give a lot and in front – either the person has not received much love or the opposite – he there is a gap. I experienced what I had to experience. And if I embarked on this experience, it’s because I was ready. I wanted to move forward and found something.

What is the craziest thing you have done for love?

I’ve done some crazy things out of love. But there is one thing I remember. Taking the train of my girlfriend at the time who was going abroad for six months. I called the SNCF to find its headquarters and find out which route it was on. I ended up meeting her on the train to accompany her to Paris and to the boarding gate afterwards. When she saw me, she started crying and said, ‘I was sure you were going to do something like that to me.’

What made you decide to participate in Married at First Sight?

Always meeting the same type of people, in the same context. I wanted to put my back against the wall a little and let science do its work. I told myself that maybe I needed to get away from what I usually did and maybe discover a different style of people.

Did you really think you would find that rare gem through adventure?

I don’t know why, but from the first workshops, I was possessed by a particular feeling. At the end of the day, I told them all: ‘See you in Gibraltar, you will put some Patrick Sébastien at my wedding.’ They replied that they wished me that, but perhaps they were not calm. I knew it. It was my year, I felt it.

What is the portrait of your ideal woman?

A sunny woman, dark-haired, light-eyed, with a bit of pep. A good living in fact. I’m not asking for much. Just someone who listens to old music (laughs). Someone who laughs when I listen to Joe Dassin and who sings.

What were your criteria?

I might be harsh, but I said: not a woman under 1.60m because I’m 1.92m. Otherwise, I wanted someone with a sporty look. But it’s not a supermarket. I can be with the most beautiful woman on the show, but if she doesn’t have a conversation and she’s standing around the room, it’s going to be complicated.

What was the question that bothered you the most in the questionnaire submitted to candidates?

It can be tricky when people ask us about our past. I was vaccinated as they say, but looking back on somewhat painful moments that we may have experienced as a couple or during our childhood is not always pleasant. But I knew what I was coming for, so I had a pretty good experience.

What injury are you talking about?

Injuries that anyone can have as a child. At the time, we don’t realize it but, as we grow up, we tell ourselves that if we are like that, it is perhaps because we lacked something. But that’s what made me the man I am today, so I don’t regret anything.

How did you feel when you were told you were compatible?

I felt a lot of joy and a lot of emotions because I was coming out of several months of tests. It was a bit of a consecration. I said to myself: phew, there is someone in the region or in France who matches my profile. The hopes I placed in this experience were well founded.

Have you asked that your future wife live not far from you?

To be transparent with you, I asked not to be more than two hours from the person, because I know what the lack can be when we don’t live together. And I want to be with her in less than two hours in one car or train ride.

What could make you say no?

If I had sensed reluctance from his guests and if when I arrived I had had a girl who is the opposite of what I had asked for. I knew that I wasn’t going to be the perfect woman, but there are criteria that are difficult to overcome. If someone has bad teeth or has something physically that I don’t like, it could have been complicated.

What is unacceptable to you in a woman?

Jealousy. It is necessary, I am a little and it shows that we care about the person. But I experienced excessive jealousy with an ex and it’s very complicated. When you want to found something serious, it’s not viable. We’re wasting too much energy.

What was your biggest fear on the wedding day?

Let her abandon the experiment. We’re really cut off from each other and we don’t know who he is. We ask ourselves a lot of questions. But a Corsican friend taught me whoever is afraid is timid.

Have you considered giving up?

At no moment. I didn’t want to be in this position. Someone calling me to tell me that the person I wanted to meet has stopped everything. It would have disappointed me and hurt me, so I didn’t want to be the guy who did that. I accept it, I’ll see it through to the end.
