Since winning the very first edition of the reality TV show Star Academy in 2002, Jenifer has been through a lot! Singer, actress, we can say that she has not been idle. And if professionally, we have been able to see her grow and evolve throughout these years, it is personally that the changes have been the most notable… Because since then, Jenifer has become a mother.
She told us during her last visit to aufeminin: ”I am a mother and my children are my intergalactic balance” . Today his pride is his 3 boys. For her sons, Jenifer is a mother like any other, a mother who juggles between her work and her children, trying to find the organization that best suits the whole tribe. When she was little, Jenifer loved going back to school. She entrusts us “I loved back to school: I loved the first day and the smell of new business” Coming from a modest family, she knew the cost of school materials and was particularly attentive to her belongings. “I took care to choose my pencil, my fountain pen and, if I had a branded notebook, then I didn’t cut out a page, I was very careful, I was aware of the value of things, it was precious.”
And for the choice of school bag, it was solidarity that was in order. As she was the youngest among her cousins, she was lucky enough to be able to collect the schoolbags of the other children in the family that they exchanged from one year to the next. “Branded satchels had a cost and of course we couldn’t afford them every year. We passed them on to each other and as I was one of the last, I collected a lot of schoolbags, I was happy.” she remembers with a smile.
Today, it is her children who are making their comeback
From now on, it is on the other side of the gate that Jenifer experiences the start of the new school year and she admits that, while being aware that school is an opportunity and that her children will continue to learn things there and become more autonomous away from her, yet she has always “a small twinge in the heart, an emotion telling me ‘how fast!’ “.
So for the return to school to be a party, nothing is left to chance, there are small rituals in the tribe. “For the first day of school, I favor comfort but we always make a little effort on the day of the new school year with a very fresh haircut or a new t-shirt.“ And when it comes to clothes, Jenifer tells us that it’s not a big deal for her, her sons aren’t particularly complicated. “Growing up, they like to manage their own outfits but they are not demanding”. Inevitably, she has a few tricks to be sure to make them happy, such as a short stint at Decathlon or Nike. “my sons are more into sportswear and as much for clothes they are cool, as much for sneakers, they really know what they want and collect them. But at home, we have established a rule for school: no apparent mark. They have integrated that well and it works perfectly that way.“
