For Télé Star, Stepfanie Kramer returned to her departure from the Rick Hunter series. The actress then reveals the real reasons that pushed her to leave.
In the 90s, Stepfanie Kramer was a famous actress thanks in particular to his role in the series Rick Hunter. Alongside Fred Dryer, she embodied the character of Dee Dee McCall. The actress then agreed to come back to the real reason for her departure from Rick Hunter: “I decided to take the next step in my life, get married and have a child. I ended up raising my daughter alone and she became my priority”, she confides.
Stepfanie Kramer then reveals her choice of life: “I don’t judge anyone but I didn’t want to say to him: ‘Mom is leaving for a week, here is the nice nanny who will take care of you’. At the time, however, I was offered my own series with a lot of money at stake”, says the actress. Another point is also mentioned by the actress: the excessive notoriety which has ruined her life at certain times. “But the most difficult thing was not to be anonymous anymore. I was sometimes followed by very strange fans”she raises.
Stepfanie Kramer reflects on the downside of fame
A celebrity who forced Stepfanie Kramer to make heavy decisions: “One day I was at a friend’s house, the police called me to tell me not to go home. I also sometimes had to live with armed men in front of my house”. This series will have forever marked the life of the actress: “All of that was my first steps in television. Very small roles, which probably led to Hunter, who I think was my… I think I can’t even remember! I think it was my third or fourth series. Before, there were many series, I worked on many projects, and before that, I played a lot in the theater. And in musicals too”, she explained to VL Media.
