Thierry Lhermitte plays a retired general still in love with his wife after fifty years of marriage, who learns that she cheated on him forty years earlier. After this revelation, he seeks to do battle with his former rival. The 71-year-old actor particularly spoke out about nudity in cinema, with him revealing his buttocks in the feature film, as revealed by host Bernard Montiel. The latter also indicated that he said it to attract people to the theaters, since“There are some who are satisfied with that”which made the man who has been married to Hélène for fifty years laugh. “Frankly, it’s quite modest in this film. I must have been naked twice in my life at the cinema. I’m a little indifferent, to tell the truth”, explained the actor, who revealed in the past that filming Le Dîner de cons had been trying. He also said that fortunately there weren’t many takes for this scene because “it curdled a little” on the day of filming – in winter – near Nice, in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
Thierry Lhermitte also confides in his grandchildren
During this interview, the actor made some rare confidences about his family, he who had three children with his wife and who today has three grandchildren. “I have great grandchildren. Three.”he told Bernard Montiel, before detailing their ages: “I have a big one, one 10 years old and one 2 years old. There are two who are in Canada, so I see them once or twice a year max. And one big one who is in France.” Curious, the host then asked him what they called him. “It depends. There are some who call me Thierry and then others Papito”he revealed, with a smile on his lips, visibly happy to be a grandfather.
