MTuesday, March 7, 10 a.m., boulevard des Capucines. While Paris is blocked by the strike, two free women are preparing to spend the day on the top floor of the Kimpton hotel. One, American Samantha Geimer, 59, came from Hawaii after overcoming her anxiety about flying thanks to the presence of her husband, Dave, a “real cowboy”, as she likes to call him. . For the other, a Frenchwoman living not far away – Emmanuelle Seigner, 56 – the journey was easier. But for both of them, the night was short. Since, in November, they agreed to meet around a table and thus to meet for the first time, they have not ceased to be assailed by this mixture of apprehension and excitement that the great milestones of existence…
