EXEL Industries: Daniel Tragus will be appointed Chief Executive Officer of EXEL Industries at the Board meeting of December 20, 2023 – 09/10/2023 at 6:45 p.m.

Daniel Tragus will be appointed General Manager of EXEL Industries at the Board meeting of December 20, 2023

Meeting under the chairmanship of Mr. Patrick Ballu, the Board of Directors chose Daniel Tragus to succeed Yves Belegaud as General Manager of EXEL Industries.

Managing Director of the EXEL Industries group since December 2019, Yves Belegaud announced to the Board of Directors his intention to exercise his retirement rights as of January 2024. In this context, Daniel Tragus, currently Deputy Managing Director, in charge of strategy, M&A and industrial property, was chosen by the Board to succeed him.

An ICAM engineer by training and graduate of an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, Daniel Tragus has spent his entire career in companies in the EXEL Industries group. From 1988, he held various technical and managerial positions at Kremlin, one of the world leaders in industrial spraying. He took over as general manager in 1999. Daniel Tragus also played a central role in the integration of the companies Hardi, Agrifac, Holmer and ET Works. Since 2016, he has been in charge of the Group’s strategy, M&A and intellectual property and, since 2020, Deputy CEO. In this context, he accompanied Yves Belegaud on various structuring projects.

With his experience in France and abroad – in Germany, the United Kingdom and Denmark, Daniel Tragus was the natural candidate to take the reins of the Group. He will take up his position as Managing Director of EXEL Industries at the end of the Board of Directors meeting on December 20, 2023.

During these four years, Yves Belegaud enabled the Group to get through major crises, with Covid and the disruption of supply chains. His mandate was marked by a solid increase in turnover, from 777 million euros in 2019 to nearly 1 billion euros in 2022, and by controlled external growth, with four strategic acquisitions: iNTEC in 2020, the Wauquiez, Tofinou and Rhéa Marine shipyards in 2021 and two players in the garden market, GF in Italy in 2022 and Devaux in 2023. Within EXEL Industries, Yves Belegaud continued the reorganization of the historic activity of agricultural spraying. He also contributed to the launch and development of EXXACT Robotics, the Group’s research center dedicated to agricultural equipment, created in 2019.

Yves Belegaud declared: “I am happy to have supported EXEL Industries over the last four years marked by major crises. The Group has an excellent basis for continuing its development. I have complete confidence in Daniel Tragus for this because he has participated since my arrival in all projects relating to the organization and growth of the Group. »

Daniel Tragus declared: “I am particularly happy and honored by the confidence that the Board of Directors has placed in me by appointing me as Managing Director. I will be keen to rely on my knowledge of the Group and on competent and committed teams to continue to develop EXEL Industries while respecting its DNA. My orientations, in line with the Group’s values, will be focused on the success of our customers and our employees, on innovation, industrial performance and on the development of our societal and environmental commitments. »
