Expensive intervention – Abt converts VW bus to electric – NoVA back?

Above all, Abt has made a name for himself by making cars faster. For the VW T6.1, the tuner offers a conversion that slows things down. At prices starting at around 28,500 euros, Abt e-Line offers the conversion of the VW Bus T6.1 from diesel to electric drive.

The package consists of the 19,900 euros (net) conversion kit, plus around 3950 euros (net) for conversion and registration, depending on the base vehicle. Almost all body and body variants should be suitable for electrification, but the vehicles must have a drive combination diesel engine and DSG gearbox. The new drive technology includes an 83 kW/113 hp and 200 Nm strong electric motor and a gross 37.3 kWh battery. Customers can choose between limiting the top speed to 90 or 120 km/h. Depending on the structure and weight, the range should be between 105 and 138 kilometers. According to Abt, the consumption is between 27.0 and 35.8 kWh/100 km, depending on the version. A full charge takes around five and a half hours on a wall box with a charging capacity of 7.2 kW. The fast charger with 50 kW can be charged to 80 percent in 45 minutes. NoVA back after conversion? Anyone who thinks that they might be able to claim back the standard fuel consumption tax paid at the time of purchase after the conversion has made a mistake. When asked by “Krone”, the Ministry of Finance stated: “The standard consumption tax law does not provide for a reimbursement of the NoVA paid in the event of the conversion mentioned.”
